Mission Statement

The City of Refuge is a Christ centered, urban mission. We are a multi-ethnic, nondenominational fellowship. We are committed to bringing down the barriers which divide the Body of Christ, and in doing so to work together with all it’s members in a spirit of love and humility. We are Christian in our doctrine with a desire for all the gifts of the Spirit to be in operation. We embrace the foundations of the faith in accordance to the Word of God.

We seek to:

Place the emphasis on intimacy through worship and prayer. Learn and apply God’s word to our lives. To love others and to build community in the word and deed-to share our lives in the power of the Holy Spirit. To extend mercy, to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to heal the sick, and to share the gospel to the ends of the earth.

As we grow in Him that we would become that place of “REFUGE” both spiritually and physically to many, young and old.

We do this as we gather in small groups throughout the city and streets. Committed not to be confined by buildings or walls. To be His church that is not a series of meetings, but rather a way of life. Touching our community and the world with the love of Jesus.
